Chartered Consultant Engineer Registered in Egypt, KSA, USA & UK

Hassan leads the Abouraya Consulting Group with a background of more than 5 decades of experience throughout Europe, the Middle East and GCC, the United States, the former Soviet Union and Southeast Asia. Most recently, as consultant to the president with Zamil Offshore Services, the largest offshore services company and only shipbuilder in Saudi Arabia, he has overseen corporate strategy, international marketing, business development and risk management.
As of 2022 he ventured in AI in modern cyber security applied to the maritime industry giving useful advice allowing automatic - problem - solving.

Hassan
is highly skilled in performance measurement, restructuring and acquisitions, joint ventures and mergers, business planning and portfolio analysis.  He has built his repertoire of skills as a consultant in projects for the following;
As an engineer, Hassan conducts multi-industry and cross-industry feasibility studies. He is a Fellow at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects and also a Fellow at the Institute of Marine Engineers, both in the U.K. In 1995, he earned an award of excellence from the Egyptian Engineers Syndicate for his talented and distinguished achievements in shipbuilding and ship repair.  He also won two fellowships from the Fulbright Bi-national Commission in Egypt and Harvard Institute for International Development to study the new enterprise economy, restructuring and privatization.

Hassan has a long and successful track record of national and international experience in corporate and project management, technical coordination, diagnostic surveys, risk managemnt, marine insurance and claims handling, portfolio analysis, performance analysis, business development & improvement with marine industries and IT companies. He participated in preparing 56 companies in Egypt for privatization, applying comprehensive restructuring including technical , financial and labor restructuring, valuation of assets together with consultants from the world bank and the ECPMU. And in KSA he implemented demergers and mergers of several offshore services companies,
Moreover He is specialized in designing and providing training in all areas of marine buiness industries, market survey and marketing, production planning and control, development of facilities and technologies, process improvement, as well as such quality assurance systems as ISO, TQM and Lean Six Sigma,

Hassan holds a degree in naval architecture and marine engineering from the University of Alexandria, Egypt, and several post graduate degrees in business, restructuring and privatization, human resource and quality management. He is fluent in Arabic, English, Spanish and Russian.
